Introduction

PlushCare is a telehealth service that sells a membership on top of its visit fees, and the membership is the part that renews every month or every year, so it is the part you cancel. Cancelling it does not delete your account, and PlushCare's own Terms of Service say that paying the membership fee is not a requirement to receive medical services there. This guide follows the cancel path PlushCare publishes in its help center, the date that decides whether you are charged again, and what happens to refunds, family members and booked appointments.

At a glance

Monthly membership$19.99 a month, billed monthly (PlushCare How it works page).
Annual membership$149 a year on the How it works page, but $99.00 a year on the help article Cash Patient Out-of-Pocket Cost (updated 21 September 2026). Check the amount on your own billing screen.
Free trialThe membership starts when you first book an appointment. The first 30 days are free, and after that the card on your profile is charged.
Cancel onlineplushcare.com, your profile, Payment and Insurance tab, then the cancel your membership link.
Cancel in writinginfo@plushcare.com, named in the Terms of Service as a way to cancel at any time.
DeadlineAt least one calendar day before the membership is set to renew.
After you cancelThe paid membership stays active until the end of the current term, and no renewal occurs.
RefundsRequested by phone at (855) 559-2285 or through a Care Team request and handled case by case. Issued refunds take 5 to 10 business days.
Visit prices without insurance$129 for a doctor visit and $169 for a therapy visit.

Step 1: Sign in with the email address you joined with

Go to plushcare.com and sign in. PlushCare's help center says that when members cannot see the blue link to cancel, they are usually signed in with a different email address from the one they used to create their profile. If you have used two addresses, try the other one first.

Step 2: Open your profile and the Payment and Insurance tab

Click your name to open the menu, go to your profile and select the Payment and Insurance tab. PlushCare names this tab in both its membership and its therapy help articles.

Step 3: Click the cancel your membership link and finish every screen

Follow the prompts until the process says it is complete. Keep the confirmation email and take a screenshot of the final screen, because either one is your proof if a renewal charge appears later.

Step 4: Do it at least one calendar day before your renewal date

PlushCare asks members to finish cancelling at least one calendar day before the membership is set to renew. For a new member that date is the end of the first 30 days, which are free and begin with the first booked appointment. For everyone else it is the next monthly or annual billing date on your account.

Step 5: If the online route fails, cancel in writing

The Terms of Service say you can cancel your membership at any time by contacting info@plushcare.com, and the therapy help article adds the clinical operations line, 1-800-221-5140. Send the email from the address on your account, say that you want the membership cancelled, and ask for a written confirmation of the end date.

What changes after you cancel

Your membership keeps working until the end of the term you already paid for. PlushCare's Terms of Service say that if you cancel a paid membership it will remain active until the end of the current term, and no renewal will occur.

Family members lose their free access with you. The Family Plan article says a member can share the membership with up to 5 adult family members, and that they pay no extra charge only as long as the principal account holder remains a member. Tell anyone on your plan before your end date.

Your account is separate from your membership. The Terms describe deleting the account as a different action, done in the mobile app under My Profile and then Delete My Account. If you only want to stop paying, cancel the membership and leave the account alone.

Refunds, and how long they take

The Terms of Service say fees are non-refundable in general, while the membership clause says refunds or pro rata refunds will be provided as required by law or as otherwise stated in your account. The help center asks you to call (855) 559-2285 or submit a request to the Care Team, and says each request is handled case by case.

Once a refund is issued it can take 5 to 10 business days to reach your account, depending on your bank, and it goes back to the original payment method. If that card or account is closed, PlushCare tells you to contact your bank.

Appointments you already booked

If you have appointments booked, cancel or reschedule them yourself before you leave. Under PlushCare's Appointment Change Policy you can cancel or reschedule for free 2 or more hours before the start time. Inside 2 hours, or a no-show 30 minutes after the start time, costs a $75 fee instead of the visit price.

PlushCare is now part of Fabric

PlushCare's Terms of Service, effective 31 July 2026, say that PlushCare, Inc. and its affiliated professional corporations became part of Fabric Labs, Inc. and its affiliated companies, and that PlushCare's services are now offered under the Fabric umbrella. The cancel path in this guide is the one PlushCare's help center still publishes; that article was updated on 23 September 2026.

If you are leaving to find another doctor

If you want a doctor you can see regularly, a lower price per visit or a therapist outside an app, compare independent providers on OpenMyPro before your membership ends, so there is no gap in care.

Tips

  • Put your renewal date in your calendar two days early, not on the day itself
  • Warn any adult family members on your plan before your end date
  • Compare providers on OpenMyPro before your membership ends so your care has no gap

Conclusion

Cancelling PlushCare takes a few clicks once you are signed in with the right email address and you act at least a day before renewal. The membership runs to the end of the term you paid for, a refund is a request that PlushCare reviews case by case rather than an automatic right, and anyone on your family plan loses free access with you. If you are leaving to find a doctor you can keep, compare providers on OpenMyPro before your next appointment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel PlushCare during the free trial?

Yes. PlushCare's How it works page says the membership starts when you first book an appointment, that the first 30 days are free, and that the card on your profile is charged after that. Cancel at least one calendar day before day 30 to avoid the first membership charge.

Do I need a PlushCare membership to see a PlushCare doctor?

No. The Terms of Service say payment of the membership fee is not a requirement to receive medical services at PlushCare, and the help center describes a limited access option in which you call to schedule instead of booking online or in the app. Visit fees still apply.

Will PlushCare refund my annual membership?

Not automatically. PlushCare reviews refund requests case by case at (855) 559-2285, and an issued refund takes 5 to 10 business days to appear.

Why is there no cancel link in my PlushCare profile?

PlushCare says this usually means you are signed in with a different email address from the one you used to create your profile. Sign out, sign in with the other address and open the Payment and Insurance tab again.

Does cancelling delete my PlushCare account?

No. Cancelling stops the membership from renewing. Deleting the account is a separate step in the mobile app, under My Profile and then Delete My Account, according to PlushCare's Terms of Service.
