Introduction

LifeMD sells a monthly membership called LifeMD+ and separate programs for weight management, women's health and mental health, each billed on its own schedule, so what you cancel, and where, depends on which of them you joined. This guide uses LifeMD's own Terms and Conditions (last updated 17 November 2025), its FAQ and its support center to set out the three official ways to cancel, the renewal deadline hidden in the fine print, what LifeMD refunds and what it does not, and what to arrange before you stop a medication program.

Step 1: Work out which plan is billing you

Check your card statement and your LifeMD account. LifeMD+ is the $19 monthly membership. The Weight Management, Women's Health and Mental Health programs have their own pricing, and LifeMD's FAQ says the LifeMD+ membership is also included when you enroll in one of those programs. Cancel the plan you actually want to stop.

Step 2: Cancel LifeMD+ in the patient portal

Sign in to the LifeMD patient portal and open your account settings, where the FAQ says the membership can be managed or cancelled at any time. The Terms describe the same route as signing in to your member portal and following the steps to pause or cancel your subscription.

Step 3: Cancel a weight management plan under My Membership

LifeMD's FAQ gives six steps: log in to the patient portal, click your name and avatar icon on the left side of the screen, select Account Settings, open My Membership, click GLP-1 Weight Management, then select Cancel/Pause Membership and follow the prompts. The Terms describe an older path through the My account page, Billing & Card and Cancel/Pause Subscription, so if one menu is missing, look for the other.

Step 4: If the portal does not work, call or email

The Terms list two more ways to cancel an automatic renewal program: phone at (800) 852-1575 and email at patientcare@lifemd.com. For weight management memberships the Terms give weightloss@lifemd.com. Write from the email address on your account, name the plan and ask for written confirmation of the end date.

Step 5: Beat the renewal deadline

The Terms say all automatic renewal programs must be cancelled within (8) hours of the renewal subscription date to avoid being charged. The clause does not say whether that means before or after the date, so cancel at least one full day before your billing date, never on it.

What LifeMD refunds, and what it does not

Section 7 of the Terms says that if you cancel before your term expires you can keep using the services until the end of the current term and the plan will not renew, but you will not be eligible for a prorated refund of any part of the fee for that period.

The same section has one exception. If you enrolled in a subscription program and it is determined at your initial consultation that you are not clinically eligible for any treatment the program offers, you may be eligible for a pro rata refund of the unused portion.

Other lines in the Terms and FAQ are just as firm. Prescription medications and over-the-counter supplements are not eligible for return or refund, weight management membership fees already charged are non-refundable, and LifeMD does not refund appointments where a controlled substance initiation or refill was requested but not fulfilled.

Before you stop a medication program

For its weight management programs, LifeMD's Terms say that after cancellation you stop receiving program services, including prescriptions from your provider, once your paid commitment ends. They strongly recommend talking to your LifeMD-affiliated clinician before discontinuing treatment, because stopping some medications abruptly can affect your health. Arrange who will manage the prescription next before your end date.

The membership fee is not required for care

LifeMD's Terms say payment of the membership fee is not a requirement to receive medical services at its affiliated medical group, and describe limited access to its providers without LifeMD's digital tools. They list (800) 521-2403 for questions about those alternatives, and say the fee is not a covered benefit under most insurance plans or under HSA and FSA plans.

Where to send billing questions

Inside your account LifeMD has two message centers. Its support article says the Front Desk is for account and payment questions, such as a duplicate charge, and the Care Team is for medical or prescription questions. A cancellation or refund question belongs with the Front Desk.

If you are leaving to find another doctor

If you are cancelling to find a primary care doctor you can keep, a nutrition or weight specialist, or simply a clearer price per visit, line up your next provider before your plan ends so a prescription does not lapse. OpenMyPro lists independent providers you can compare before you book.

Tips

  • Cancel at least one full day before your billing date because of the 8 hour clause
  • Ask for written confirmation of the end date whichever route you use
  • Send billing questions to the Front Desk message center, not the Care Team
  • Hand over any ongoing prescription to a new clinician before your plan ends
  • Compare independent providers on OpenMyPro before you book your next visit

Conclusion

LifeMD gives you three ways out: the patient portal, (800) 852-1575 and patientcare@lifemd.com, with a separate address for weight management plans. Whichever you use, act at least a day before your billing date, expect access to run to the end of the period you paid for, and do not count on a prorated refund. If you are leaving to find care you can keep, compare providers on OpenMyPro before your plan ends.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel LifeMD online?

Yes. LifeMD's FAQ says the membership can be managed or cancelled at any time through your account settings in the patient portal. Weight management plans are cancelled under Account Settings, My Membership, then Cancel/Pause Membership.

What is the LifeMD phone number to cancel?

The Terms and Conditions list (800) 852-1575 as a way to cancel an automatic renewal program, alongside the member portal and the email address patientcare@lifemd.com.

Does LifeMD give prorated refunds?

No, as a rule. Section 7 of the Terms says you keep access until the end of the current term but are not eligible for a prorated refund. The exception is a member found clinically ineligible for any treatment at the initial consultation, who may be eligible for a pro rata refund of the unused portion.

How early do I need to cancel LifeMD?

The Terms say automatic renewal programs must be cancelled within (8) hours of the renewal subscription date to avoid charges. Because the wording is unclear, cancel at least one full day before your billing date.

How much is a LifeMD+ membership?

LifeMD's support article says LifeMD+ costs $19 per month after the first month, and its FAQ lists a $49 video appointment and a $19 message consult without insurance. Check the price shown at your own checkout.
